I tried making a harmonious symbolic shape :), and i went for a highly oriented theme

I got the standard old yin-yan and tweaked them up a bit to look a little more like tadpole-like-biengs with swirly tails and stuff, puts a little more life into them.
and then seperated them out a little ( cos the standard yin-yan imho looks unbalanced, too much black-white-black-white sequence, and the tight curves required to make it work look like "donkey" )

then i grouped layered sequences of lovehearts and aranged them into oriental like flower shapes, and filled the remaining area with them ^_^.

then I put some black-white rings around the outside to seperate the unity in the centre from the outside world, a protective bubble if you may.

I tried designing the colours/layout/style so it would look ok on what my mind recalls a kimono to look like :)

seems when certain people study certain topics I some how get remote inspiration from the subjects they study ;) . ?ysaada>|

a mere 5 hours work there ^^; mostly because the construction of the hearts pattern required a whole bucket load of vectors ( 1GIG of vectors to be precise, and when you've only Got 1G of ram, your gonna start digging into ye old'e swap space ) and it got really slow and had to re-engineer the whole hearts system several times to get it to work ( i at one stage had tesselated heats with smaller hearts filling the spaces, and smaller hearts filling the spaces that remained, but that was obviously waaaay to complex ^^; )

edit fixed a glitch or two that was noted, fixed my "not colouring inside the lines" :D
and slapped on a red background instead of a black one to give a more Kimono style to it.

=D oh wow! That's so pretty! I've got no idea how you did it, but the heart pattern is so strongly oriental; perfect tessalation, just like the patterns I saw in the Otago Museum kimono exhibition! ^_^ Zoomed out they look like pretty camelia flowers... and then when zoomed in they're pretty hearts! :aww:

The yin-yang symbol is amazingly well-done; like a sequel to a movie that's better even than the original! ^^ It's amazing... so sophistticated and stylised =D I love your design works!! A little cleaning up of the rough edges where the heart design escapes the yin-yang design on the outside ^-^

It's brilliant :glomp: :+favlove:

:cuddle: no problem; the only reason that I found the edges was after an age of trying to find anything of which I could give constructive criticism :) it's so hard with your works.
